We were very privileged to introduce independent film maker and photographer Geraint Hill to Uphill Junior School during our recent trustee visit. By happy coincidence Geraint was staying in Fort Portal whilst we were there over the Easter period and an exchange of emails resulted in a meeting over coffee, a day at the Uphill, then a convivial evening at the end of our trip. Geraint was keen to try out his new 360 degree film camera and we were more than happy to offer Uphill Junior School as a guinea pig project. Whilst he was on site he also took some wonderful close up shots of the children and staff members. Along with the 360 video, here are some other examples of Uphill on film:

Geraint’s ability to capture iconic images is very impressive and we now have a library of stunning stock photos that we can use over the coming years. We also loved some of the ‘fun’ photos – Uphill kids are curious, photogenic and well-conditioned to the muzungu-with-camera phenomenon and tend to strike poses accordingly.
